Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology
Doctor of Psychology (Ph.D.) is a professional doctorate degree intended to prepare graduates for practice in psychology. The Ph.D. in Psychology is a well-balanced programme designed to impart a broad base in psychology, the program also offers an opportunity for intensive research in various fields like Human behavioral science along with specialization in Foundations and Methods of Psychology, Psychological process, Communication and evaluation of research in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology and many more. The students will be able to keep abreast with current issues of Psychology studies. At every stage of learning, the students will be encouraged to invent new ideas in the field of psychology. They will be encouraged to participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences as well as to publish in referred journals. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Social Science
The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D). in Social sciences is a well-balanced programme that imparts an understanding of the causes of social changes, or the relationships between individual and state. The first year of Programme will consist of compulsory course work followed by intensive research in various fields like Sustainability in Social Science, Social Anthropology, Education and Learning, Public Services, Environment and Energy, International Relations, Decision-making in Social Science and much more. The Department also offers its researchers strong support with specific methodological issues such as comparative research design, statistical methods, and survey research. During the independent studies, the students will be encouraged to work with industry leaders, civic leaders, government leaders, governmental as well as non-governmental development agencies, the general public to assure that all outcomes of their independent thinking are linked with their individual growth as well as with the betterment of the society. At every stage of learning, the students will be encouraged to invent new ideas in the field of Social Sciences. The students will be encouraged to participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences as well as to publish in refereed journals. Master of Education
The Master of Education is a well-balanced programme designed to impart knowledge in Education along with specialization in Human Behaviour and Community organization. Individuals looking to work in the field of education but outside of the traditional classroom may opt for the specialization for more information. Master of Arts in Teaching of English as Second Language
The Master of Arts in Teaching of English as Second Language (MATESL) programme under the Faculty of Social Science Arts and Humanities is a noble calling, empowering students to take their places in the global community and become active participants in the teaching environments. Master of Social Work
Social work is a professional and academic discipline that describes the application of social theory and research methods to study and improve the lives of people, groups, and societies. It incorporates and utilizes other social sciences as a means to improve the human condition and positively change society's response to chronic problems. The programme deals with the fundamental knowledge of power and resources distributed in the world, and impact political decisions on societies. The purpose of the programme is to assist students to develop knowledge and skills for professional careers in international policy studies. The curriculum for Master of Social Work is also structured such that the students from social science, arts and humanities department from SAFIIT and from outside of the SAFIIT could enroll in the program to enrich their capacity in this particular field in order to broaden their sphere of opportunities in the marketplace.

Master of International Relations and Policies in SAFIIT under the Faculty of Social Science Arts and Humanities is a program grounded on political principles and processes as well as foreign affairs and relations between different countries along with learning of languages and world cultures that helps professionals to think globally and become a successful leader on the international platform. Professionals systematically explore themes such as government and private policies, political behavior, economic issues in local and international government systems. Entry Requirements :
Bachelor (Level 6 MOH) with minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate; or
Bachelor (Level 6 MOH) or equivalent CGPA of 2.50 which is not acceptable on condition that the candidate has a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field For postgraduate programs, prospective students must pass the lnternational Bahasa Inggeris Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum score of 5.0 or equivalent qualification.
For International students,
TOEFL score of 500 OR IELTS score of 5.0 OR its equivalent. If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme. This is normally conducted through an assessment process.
Master of Science Psychology
The Programme is unique in providing professionally qualified researchers capable to lead and apply advanced development of research skills to the rapidly changing field of Psychology.
Employment of psychology is projected to grow in the next ten years, about as fast as the average for all occupations. The programme provides an excellent preparation for further psychological research.And also provides a more diverse and wider field for graduates to expand in their professional development. A psychology profession will stress on disciplines that focus on offering a particular set of skills for a specific type of occupation. These types of studies will provide necessary practical knowledge and training for graduates to succeed in the chosen subject. As opposed to broader scientific studies, psychology professions focus more on practical training rather than on theory and conceptual knowledge.

English Competency Requirements for International Students
- Obtain at least.
a) International Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum score of 5.0 or
b) Test of English Language as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) (internet based) with a minimum score of 34; or
c) Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English Language (CAE) with a minimum score of 160; or
d) Pearson Test of English Language (PTE Academic) with a minimum score of 36;
or
ii. Students who come from countries that use the English language as spoken exemption conditions,
or
iii. Students who use academic qualifications and institutions that use English as the language of instruction are exempted from the conditions.
