Leadership and Governance

The affairs of SAFIIT are directed by the Governing Council headed by the Chancellor. The Management Board is responsible to the Institution Management Council for the overall organisation, direction, and management of the school, its academic affairs and the governance of the members of staff and students.

Governing Council

The Institution’s Advisory board is made up high-level professionals in business; these professionals act as ambassadors of SAFIIT and support the institution to maintain close relationship with the companies, organisations and corporate clientele it serves.

She has previously worked in corporate banking and during her academic career, has conducted extensive research in financial markets, corporate and behavioral finance.

Sandra's academic background is in law, criminology, and socio-legal studies, and he joined us after working at different institution, where she was a founding member of the School of Law.

One of his principal research interests is how criminal laws and criminal justice enforcement practices impact HIV prevention and the lives of people living with HIV and those in “at risk” populations.

Patrick Pretorius

Patrick Pretorius head of the School of Computing, Engineering and Physical Sciences.

Both a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET), his research interests include the problems of optimisation with applications in 3D computer vision, and video standards.
